WWE Raw Results: Winners, News And Notes As Becky Lynch Retains – Forbes

Becky Lynch vs. Liv Morgan for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship.
WWE Raw advertised Becky Lynch vs. Liv Morgan for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship, an open challenge from United States champion Damian Priest, MizTV with special guest Edge and Big E vs. Kevin Owens in a Steel Cage Match. Edge’s appearance on MizTV comes amid reports that Maryse will continue to make appearances on WWE Raw moving forward, while Beth Phoenix recently quit NXT. Phoenix, Edge’s wife, will reportedly be involved with Edge’s feud against The Miz and Maryse.
Last week’s broadcast of WWE Raw garnered 1.679 million viewers.

Kevin Owens continues to lose one match after another, and was only able to pick yup a win last week via disqualification. If WWE is making a play to keep him around past his contract expiration, they have a weird way of showing it.
Following this match, Bobby Lashley hit the ring and laid waste Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens and Big E. It’s safe to say Lashley will likely be added to this match, and it’s safer to say that Kevin Owens is the favorite to take the pinfall.
Zelina Vega def. Nikki A.S.H.
Nikki A.S.H. is now doing a slump storyline. This featured an entertaining backstage segment where Nikki thought a fan wanted her autograph, only to reveal the fan was talking to Memphis’ own Jerry “The King” Lawler, who just re-signed with WWE.
RK-Bro-Nament is one of the worst puns I’ve ever heard.
Riddle and Randy Orton both wore broadcasting blazers. In a mock post-match interview, Riddle introduced himself as “Brocells.” Corey Graves correctly pointed out that Riddle missed a golden opportunity to call himself “Bro-kaw.”
Even though AJ Styles and Omos have been together for close to a year, their split is being booked at lightspeed. This week Omos already walked out on Styles.
In a surprise to nobody, this was a solid match that few of these fans were into.
Even at a time where world titles are being defended at a near-record pace on television for the modern era, Damian Priest has quietly become the fightingest champion on the roster.
WWE finally gave Doudrop hip-hop heel music.
WWE is finally starting to let Doudrop wrestle like Piper Niven, and unsurprisingly, the results have been positive.
Fans really wanted to see Bianca Belair hit the KOD on Doudrop. They really came alive as Bianca lifted Doudrop on her shoulders, and when Doudrop escaped she got massive heat.
Vince McMahon’s segments with Austin Theory remind me of the book “Tuesdays with Morrie.”
Edge correctly pointed out that his Jordan 3’s were way cooler than Miz’s “$9,000 shoes.”
Though it wasn’t as good as it could have been given the talent involved, this was still a good back-and-forth and, judging by crowd reaction, fans really want to see these two fight.
Corey Graves had yet another fire (and topical) broadcaster pun in his back pocket: Chris Bromo.
Riddle is going about this feud all wrong as he continues to feud with the losing teams of these matches.
I feel like these Vince McMahon-Austin Theory segments would flow a lot better if Austin was first revealed to be Vince’s illegitimate son.
T-BAR is talented, but WWE has nothing for this character. The fact that Finn Balor is in a random match with T-BAR tells me they have nothing for Balor either.
WWE really made a habit of zooming in on the reaction of women and children during this Finn Balor match. I don’t know what it means, but it’s not a bad thing.
I stand corrected about WWE not having anything for Finn Balor. Balor will be the first pig to slaughter in Austin Theory’s Vince McMahon-approved push.
If Liv Morgan doesn’t have a WrestleMania match next year, at least she got a WrestleMania-caliber video package. It was fantastic.
To Liv Morgan’s credit, this might have been the most Becky Lynch was booed in any of her matches since her return, though the reaction was still pretty much 50/50.
On the 17-year anniversary of the iconic Trish Stratus vs. Lita Raw main event, Liv Morgan celebrated with an awkward dive to the outside.
Bottom-rope Becks struck again as Becky Lynch won by grabbing the rope.
