Nigeria and Sudan will go head to head in the battle to reach their first final in the competition
NIGERIA and Sudan go head-to-head for a place in the final of the African Nations Championship on Sunday.
The Super Eagles scored a 91st minute equaliser in their quarter-final against Angola, before finishing them off in extra-time, thanks to Gabriel Okechukwu.
It was a lot less tense in Sudan's tie, as they beat 2012 African Cup of Nations champions Zambia 1-0 to progress.
Whoever wins out of Nigeria and the Falcons, it will be the first time either has reached the final of this competition since its inception in 2009, with the Super Eagles looking for a boost ahead of the World Cup in the summer.
THIS African Nations Championship fixture will be held on Wednesday, January 31.
The game will be hosted at Stade de Marrakech.
Kick-off is at 7.30pm.
UNFORTUNATELY, this match will not be televised.
NIGERIA are at full strength heading into their semi-final with manager Gernot Rohr expected to stick with Sunday Faleye up front, despite Okechukwu netting the winner against Angola.
Sudan are also expected to name an unchanged side to the one that was victorious against Zambia, with goal scorer Saifeldin Bakhit set to remain in midfield.
