Camelot currently have the National Lottery License.
After a heated battle, it was announced in March Camelot lost the license to Allwyn, despite having held the license since the launch in 1994.
According to The Daily Mail, former Camelot chief executive Dame Dianne Thompson has told the Gambling Commission to delay the transfer in order to avoid losing the £1M of ‘good causes’ money.
Camelot are headed to court to contest the result. Dame Thompson suggested the delay in case the ruling is overturned to avoid losing money in a potentially needless transfer.
